SVG scales to any size. PDF is 4 inches wide with a clear margin built in (taller with a frame).

Map pins can't move after you print them.

The coordinates are stored in the pattern. A free account gives you an editable link instead. Point it at a maps link and move it whenever you need.

When someone scans it

Most Android phones open the pin in their maps app. iPhone support depends on the scanner app, so test with the phones your visitors use.

Before you print

  • In most maps apps, press and hold a spot to drop a pin and see its coordinates.
  • Latitude comes first. Check the pin on a map before you print.
  • If most visitors use iPhones, make a link code with a maps link instead. It opens on any phone with a browser.

What's in the pattern

A geo: link

geo:48.8584,2.2945

The standard location format. Latitude comes first, then longitude, rounded to six decimals (about 10 cm).

Questions

How do I find my coordinates?
Press and hold a spot in your maps app to drop a pin, then copy the latitude and longitude. Use decimal degrees, like 48.8584 and 2.2945.
Why not use a maps link?
You can. Make a link code with a Google Maps or Apple Maps link, and it opens on any phone with a browser. A geo: code opens the phone's own maps app where it's supported.
Can I move the pin later?
Not on this code. With a free account, an editable link code can point to a maps link that you change anytime.
